Royal Hospital, Haslemere

After on-going investigations and with the Bursar’s consent we set about the unique task of restoring the 1920’s porch back to the former glory days of time gone by. The challenging aspects of the timber pillar replacement was to copy the fluted shape and contours that would genuinely match the remaining three pillars.

This was done with the skill and care of our craftsmen and was neatly slotted into place over the period of a day.

A fine example of old skills still being used at the forefront of modern technology. No CAD and no computerised programmes were used in re-producing the matching pillar – just reliable time-served craftsmanship and patience.royal-hospital-haslemere
